Don’t know what to do about anxiety? Every 90 minutes, you’ll want to take 5 minutes to follow these easy tips to reduce your anxiety. It’s simple, but so important.
The first step is to breathe. Take a deep breath and let it out. Recognize where in your body you feel tension and simply acknowledge it.
Take a step back from your computer screen, phone, or whatever task you’re working on. The goal here is to take your mind completely off your task and let your mind wander. It might help to take a short walk, or to do something artistic and tactile like doodling or fiddling with something. It sounds silly, but actually it’s called passive processing, and is an essential function your brain needs in order to stay fresh, creative, and non-anxious.
Connect with a friend. Talk check in about how they are doing. We are made to connect with other people, and doing so makes us feel grounded and ok.
Following easy tips to reduce your anxiety may sound simple, but they can get you started toward a more connected and full life.
